90-Day Maple Frost Warranty

Every eligible refurbished computer includes a 90-day Maple Frost limited warranty for covered hardware defects beginning on the date you receive the product. The battery is excluded from this conventional warranty, which is provided in addition to the legal warranties and consumer rights that apply under Quebec law.

90 days

Included at no charge

A conventional warranty with important legal protections alongside it.

The Maple Frost warranty does not replace, restrict, waive or reduce any legal warranty or consumer right. Quebec legal warranties may apply beyond 90 days depending on circumstances such as the product’s age, disclosed condition, normal use and reasonable expected durability.

01 · Coverage

What is covered

The 90-day warranty covers eligible hardware defects or malfunctions that occur during normal use and were not disclosed when the device was purchased. It does not cover the battery.

Battery exclusion: Battery capacity, wear and failure are not covered by the Maple Frost 90-day conventional warranty. Battery details are provided only to describe the device at the time of sale.
  • Logic board or motherboard
  • Processor and memory
  • Internal storage
  • Display
  • Keyboard and trackpad
  • Built-in camera, speakers and microphone
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth hardware
  • Charging ports and the included power adapter

02 · Limits

What is not covered

The Maple Frost conventional warranty is intended for undisclosed hardware problems arising during normal use. It does not cover the following situations:

  • Accidental damage, drops, impacts or cracked screens
  • Liquid or moisture damage
  • Damage caused by misuse, improper storage or neglect
  • Damage caused by unauthorized repairs, modifications or upgrades
  • Lost or stolen products
  • Cosmetic wear disclosed before purchase
  • Normal cosmetic changes caused by continued use
  • The battery, including capacity loss, cycle-related wear or battery failure
  • Software problems caused by applications, malware, unsupported modifications or customer-installed operating systems
  • Consumable accessories unless expressly included
  • Problems caused by incompatible third-party accessories

These exclusions apply only to the Maple Frost 90-day conventional warranty. They do not eliminate any right that cannot legally be excluded under Quebec law.

03 · Resolution

Available solutions

Maple Frost will inspect the device and, when a claim is accepted, provide an appropriate solution based on the circumstances and applicable consumer-protection requirements.

  1. 1

    Repair

Repairing the device when a covered issue can reasonably be corrected.

  2. 2

    Replacement

Replacing it with an equivalent refurbished device when appropriate.

  3. 3

    Refund

Providing a full or partial refund when repair or replacement is not reasonably possible.

The appropriate solution depends on the device, the issue and the applicable legal requirements. The customer may not always be able to select the remedy.

04 · Local claim process

How to make a claim

05 · In-person service

Local inspection and service

All warranty inspections and services are completed locally and in person. Maple Frost will not charge you for a repair covered by the warranty.

If inspection shows excluded damage, misuse or another issue outside the conventional warranty, Maple Frost will contact you before performing any paid repair. No paid repair will be completed without your approval.

Maple Frost will not impose inspection or diagnostic charges that would unlawfully discourage a customer from exercising rights provided by Quebec law.

06 · Your legal rights

Quebec legal warranties

Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act provides legal warranties that apply automatically and free of charge. The product must be fit for its ordinary purpose, remain usable for a reasonable period considering its age, condition and terms of sale, correspond to its description and be free from undisclosed hidden defects.

These legal warranties are separate from the Maple Frost 90-Day Warranty and may apply after the 90-day period has ended.
